Who is Bussho Canine?

Bussho Canine is a small woman/family owned business located in Floresville, Texas. Under the Bussho Canine company umbrella, we offer our Green Dog Delicacies Bark to Nature Biscuits, as well as our Green Dog Body and Soul natural body line. Our Green Dog Body and Soul will be available Summer 2010.

Bussho (boo-sho) in the simplest of terms is defined as Buddha Nature in Zen, which in Zen is defined as staying within nature and it's truth to cultivate awareness within  nature. This expains how we live our daily lives at our farm which we call Bussho Pastures. Our farm consists of five horses, four canine companions, twelve adopted feral cats, and seven English lop bunnies. We live simply and naturally within nature, staying true to our surroundings and our animal companions. We found it only fitting to name Bussho Canine as our business.  We bake with intent, love, and passion for our animal companions. 

Where are you located?

We bake our delicacies at our farm located in Floresville, Texas. You can order biscuits by calling or emailing us, as well as at local Farmers Markets and community events. Check our calendar each month for our location. If you are calling in your order, depending on the size of the order we will either deliver or use Priority Mail to ship. Freshness is guaranteed.

Can I have the biscuits available at my place of business?

Yes! Whether you own a pet boutique, doggie day care, or you are a Vet's office, we deliver fresh Bark to Nature Biscuits weekly to your door step. You choose the day of week and we'll be there!

What makes your treats so special?

We take great pride in baking with the finest of ingredients you can find. We have dedicated hours of research in searching for Texas ingredients. Over 90% of our ingredients are Texas milled and grown. Our treats are baked with 100% human grade ingredients and USDA organic ingredients. Our promise to you is that we bake with only the finest of ingredients. At this time we are working on becoming organic certified. We follow strict guidelines. After each batch is finished baking all biscuits go directly to the dehydrator for the approximate time to remove excess moisture.   

We set ourselves apart from others by baking with organic quinoa, which is a grain that is a very easily digestable protein. In our research we have replaced baking with honey with baking with organic agave nectar due to the fact agave nectar is a low glycemic natural sweetener. Other top notch ingredients you'll see in our biscuits is cold milled hemp seeds, ground flax seed, cranberries, coconut, fresh grown veggies, fresh grown herbs, and blueberries. You aren't going to find a better product than ours. We're sure of that!
